Mar 29, 2020 · I have a 4K tv and looking for a option to airplay the TV from my iPhone 8 and MacBook Pro (late 2013). I'd be fine for now with a 1080p option like Apple TV3 but how is it running nowadays? Don't really feel like shelling out for a later version at the moment since there are many rumours about a new version.

I followed those instructions, and chose Samsung Q60 Series from the airplay menu, but then get a popup that says "Cannot connect to Samsung Q60" Both devices are on the same network and AirPlay is ON for both my MacBook Pro and Samsung TV. I think gedjas means Airplay only. If you want to airplay avi files, simply convert them using Handbrake (free) and then play using iTunes. Handbrake is extremely easy to use and produces mp4 files that you can then save and organise in iTunes.
